Just wanted everyone to know that this Saturday, my wife and I are closing and taking delivery of a 1983 CD28 (#359) the "Valhalla". Completed the survey last weekend and she was found to be in almost "mint" condition. Can't wait till Saturday to take her out onto Lake Texoma. We had a cold snap here in North Texas last week, but by Saturday, it should return to a balmy 72 deg. I also wanted to thank everyone here on this web-page for all their advice, counsel and encouragement. I do plan to be an active member of the CD owner's group.
We do have to get a new name for her though...., any ideas? My wife and I can't seem to agree on a suitable name.

Congrats on the boat!!! We love our CD28.
Just be careful changing the name... boats don't always like having their names changed... be sure to do it with appropriate ceremony, and consider saving the scrapings of the old name and keeping them on board... under the mast step is a good place. You can't be too careful! <G>
