sailing to Lake Superior, trucking boat to west coast

I'm in the beginning stages of planning to sail my CD270 from Portsmouth, NH to Duluth,MN then trucking her to west coast for a run to Alaska. Past four years, I've been exploring Maine and western Nova Scotia coast--now want to do west coast. Looking for info on trucking boat (any trailers for sale?) to west coast and Great Lakes Sailing. I live in Rochester, NY, so I am familiar with Ontario. Also sailed some of Huron and Western Superior and both the Erie and Lake Champlain canals.

Once you've got her on a trailer why not take her to Alaska and then sail down? Don't forget that the prevailing winds blow in the opposite direction on the West Coast, i.e., Northwest. Gentlemen never sail to weather.

I have sailed Superior for a long time now..11 yrs. in the current CD30 alone. If I can be of help, let me know. But you did say that you have Great Lakes experience, and have sailed Western Lk. Superior. Have you looked at the Apostle Islands or Isle Royale? Perhaps I can help you out there if interested.
