Is CD25 preferable to CD25D in any way(s) beside price ??

I'd love to hear from anyone on whether you find some aspects of the CD25 superior to the corresponding aspects of a CD25D. Are there things that the lighter, less expensive boat does better ??
I am particularly interested in the sailing characteristics, feel of the boats, ease of handling, etc.
