Inspired by earlier postings here I ordered from Trident Studio/The Scale Model Company [Phone # 401-846-9505] in Newport RI a half-hull model of my boat. It just arrived and is really beautiful. My color scheme is no longer "standard CD," and they called when they received the order to discuss those details and to make sure they had the right boat description.
Per their sales literature they have molds for 26 different CD models. The prices are roughly in the $350 zone.
When I ordered the model they estimated a 6-week delivery. I think the order actually took closer to 3 months to receive, but the results were worth the wait. Apparently some of the delay was due to the wait for a brass name plate. As earlier mentioned, they do charge your credit card when they receive the order, but they do deliver what they promise.
