The wooden part of my tiller is broken. Where can I get another?

Re: Tiller for a Typhoon
The tiller is a simple laminate layup which any local woodshop should be able to duplicate with ease. If your local marina does restorations I'm sure that they would be able to handle the job, though in my experience this is absolutely the most expensive route to pursue. I personally don't know of a source for the tiller, though that doesn't mean that there isn't a replacement being manufactured at this time.Randy Haynes wrote: The wooden part of my tiller is broken. Good luck.

Randy:
Greg is right - any woodworking shop can probably duplicate the tiller. If you are in New England, and are willing to send your tiller, I would be happy to have my shop do the work (and we will keep the pattern for future Typhoon owners. My metal shop can also fit your tiller strap and replace the bronze pins that hold it all together.
We are very interested in acquiring patterns for Cape Dory woodwork and will give you a very competitive price on this project.
