Volvo MD7A Part

Hello!!

I have repowered my Cape Dory 28 for a long distance trip by pulling the 1978 Volvo MD7A engine out and replacing it with a new Yanmar 2GM20, new prop, shaft, cutlass bearing, engine mounts, etc. I have sold most of the major Volvo engine parts (i.e., pistons, block, flywheel, engine mounts, control panel, etc.). However, I do still have some Volvo MD7A engine and prop parts left. So, I thought I would post them for sale on this website:

One new thermostadt kit - $15

One engine owners manual/instruction book - $10

One air filter housing, intake and inlet silencer - $50

One MS transmission reverse gear for MD7A (not MD7A/110S) - $575

One water pump rebuild kit (shaft, etc.) - $25

Twelve O-ring seals for water pipes - $1 each

Two water pump O-rings - $1 each

Two fan belts for original MD7A alternator config. - $5 each

All parts are sold as is. However, they worked on my Volvo engine just before I pulled it from my boat. If they don't actually work when you buy them, which I doubt, a refund will be given. Moreover, make darn sure you know what parts you need and fit for your engine before you inquire or order. Also, check your engine manuel for parts numbers. All of my parts came straight out of my onboard parts lockers or directly off the Volvo MD7A engine itself. It was a 1978 MD7A, raw water cooled, plain jane set installation. Therefore, the engine parts will probably only fit and work properly on the Volvo MD7A and MD7A/110S engines. The props are both left hand twist or rotation props for Volvo engines and fit Volvo MD7A fixed prop shaft -inboard diesel configurations only rather than the MD7A/110S S-drive 110S lower unit configuration.

I prefer payment by money order. Neverthelss, I will consider personal check payments, but they will take time to clear properly and will therefore delay shipping at least 7-10 days. The buyer pays all shipping and insurance costs via UPS or other delivery service specified by buyer. Keep this in mind on big parts like the MS reverse gear, starter, etc. which do have some weight. The reverse gear weighs at least 40 lbs.

I will also consider all reasonable offers on bulk or multiple part orders. I cannot now use the foregoing parts and hate to see them go to waste sitting in my shop storage lockers. But, I would like to get something for them as they do have some value. New and used Volvo parts can be pricey at parts houses, if you can find the parts.
