CD25 Storm Jib

I was wondering if a storm jib would work well on a CD 25. My smallest jib an original CD working jib (dont know area). It seems that under most windy conditions a single reef and a working jib carries just fine, but once in a while I wonder about a smaller headsail. I used to sail on an 45' 1940 S & S and the storm jib on it worked very well with a single or double reef. Does the same value apply on our little boats? Anyone with thoughts on this?
