Cheap Volvo-Penta Parts?

Post by Walt Bilofsky »

Someone emailed me asking where to buy parts for Volvo engines. I assume he was looking for discounts - as is well known, Volvo parts prices are outrageous.

The only source I know of that discounts at all is this dealer. They will quote by email. Sometimes the prices have been a bit better than my local guy.

Anyone else know a discount source?

Believe it or not, our local Volvo dealer in Anacortes has been sending me to NAPA (stores nationwide) for Volvo parts-and usually they have them or can get them in two days. Their price for a MD7A thermostat was $17.00-the Volvo was over $30.00!

They can't get everything-and sometimes they have to search, but it is worth a try!

Save a LOT on Volvo parts

Post by mike ritenour »

I have been saving big bucks by buying my parts from Eastern Marine (they are a class act Volvo dealership) in Toronto, Canada. So far there hasn't been any duty on the parts shipped out of Canada to any destination I have had (USA or the Bahamas) Their number is 416.465.1668. Carl or Marsel provide the most help.

Good luck,
mike
