While Cape Dory Yachts have a reputation for the quality of their construction and seaworthiness of their design, Prairie is unique even in the Cape Dory family.

We purchased Prairie in August of 2002 and moved her into my shop. We then embarked on a complete re-fit, restoration and upgrade. This became a 3 2/1 year project with an estimated 3000+ hours of work. She was stripped down to a bare hull inside and out and we set about to make her the finest little pocket cruiser afloat. The initial work was completed and she was re-launched in June of 2006. Over the years we have continued to refine and dial in various aspects of Prairie making her an exceptional boat for her size and class.

Prairie was the winner of the 2007 CDSOA Great Lakes Fleet restoration project of the year.

Last surveyed 2007 with an overall vessel rating of excellent and value of $11,422.00
