Greetings:
On October 17 of this year I departed Noank, CT headed south, ultimately for the Bahamas. With 1 crew/friend Ray we sailed up Long Island Sound, anchoring on Day 1 in Milford Harbor, CT (north of Charles Island) and on Day 2, Port Washington on Long Island. October 19, Day 3, we road the tide through the East River and then made our way out of NY Harbor, picking up a mooring at the Atlantic Highlands Yacht Club, NJ. This was the time of the Hunter Moon, which was quite a sight. Except for a very cold start (38 degrees), the weather was perfect with some good broad reaching up the LIS with a brisk northerly wind. Couple of pics below, courtesy of Ray and his excellent camera.
Currently, Dove Tale is docked in Port Salerno, Florida while I enjoy the holidays with family/friends. More posts to come
