Orion tucked away for the winter

Orion was hauled on 10/16 and the first thing I did was rinse the hull from the toerail to the waterline with hull cleaner. This ensures the surface will be clean for a coat of wax in the spring. Next I spent five days sanding the bottom (with the aim of removing this seasons coat of antifouling so as not to build layers up) so the bottom is prepped for next seasons antifouling.
Next was erecting the winter cover. This I completed over two days as the winds picked up after I had completed erecting the frame. The canvas portion went on the following day when the wind was behaving itself.
This year I mounted my old 50 watt solar panel to my windvane frame. It makes a nice trickle charger over the winter months.
