Cape Dory 26 - minimum outboard HP?

We recently purchased a CD 26 with a 9.9 motor. If we choose to replace it, can you give your opinions on the minimum HP recommended.
Any favorite choices??

I've got a 14 year old Yamaha 9.9 in my CD26 and can't imagine a better powerplant for this hull. The installation is tidy (after adding spacers to move the mount forward a bit). The Yamaha has a nice reverse thrust feature that helps what is always a tricky manuever (backing). There seems to be plenty of forward power, at least in my admittedly protected inland waters. You can see Dana's posts that explain how to configure for closing the hatch with the Yamaha.
