Sheep on McGlathery Island - Fact or Fiction?

Post by Carl Thunberg »

We spent two days this summer anchored off McGlathery Island in Merchants Row in Penobscot Bay, Maine. Is there any truth to the rumor of sheep on McGlathery Island? Has anyone ever seen them? We spent two fruitless days looking for them. Alas, the second photograph below was the closest thing we ever saw to a sheep.
