Painting an Edson Pedestal

Post by pvisich »

Have an Edson pedestal where I would like to paint the bottom half and wondered if anyone had any suggestions. On Edson's website they provide a very long instructions using Interlux products and can't help believe there is a more simpler way to paint the pedestal after sanding. Any suggestions to those that have painted their pedestal? Thanks, Paul

I painted mine when I had it out for the cockpit sole. I used the Interlux finish product they recommended and then the primer and methods Interlux recommended. I didn't think it was too elaborate. If you skip some of the recommended sanding and extra coats you'll just have very minor imperfections in the finish.
