This past weekend we cleaned Realization's hull with oxalic acid (liquid Zud), used a second application of the stuff where it was needed, rinsed her off real well with clean water using large new sponges (twice), and followed that with 6 coats of gelcoat restorer (New Glass II). So far the results are impressive. The boat looks new, and others that have been working on their boats around us stopped to ask questions and admire our boat. Now we'll just have to wait and see just how long this stuff actually lasts (the manufacturer guarantees it for at least 1 year) and how easy or difficult it is to maintain. I'll keep you posted.
