CDSOA Leadership Meeting, Chattanooga, TN

The Cape Dory Sailboat Owners Association Fleet Captains successfully held a meeting this weekend in Chattanooga TN.

Absent the annual meeting last fall due to covid issues the current fleet leadership elected new national leadership. Fred Mueller (NE Fleet) was elected Commodore, John Arsenault (Chesapeake Fleet) was elected Vice Commodore, and Lou Ostendorff (Carolina Fleet) was elected Rear Commodore. Sue Kuhar agreed to stay on as CDSOA National Treasurer.

We feel we had a very productive meeting. Meeting minutes will be provided soon outlining decisions we have made and issues we are grappling with - as well as current budget figures. We will leave details for later, but do want to say here we are planning for a resumption of the National meeting in late October 2022, likely at Rappahannock River Yacht Club on Chesapeake Bay.

We would like to thank Steve Kuhar, retiring Commodore, for his extensive service to CDSOA, especially thru these last few years which have been very difficult. Steve has agreed to agreed to assist "pro temp" in several data continuity tasks ensuring a smooth transition to what comes next. We would also like to thank Sue for putting together such a lovely confab overlooking the Tennessee River.
