Considering purchase - CD36 Flybridge Trawler
I'm looking at a CD36 Flybridge Trawler. The trouble is, this particular trawler is gasoline powered, which will cost a fortune in fuel. My real question is, was this boat retrofitted with gasoline powered engines or was this original? The engine hours are at 1,300 hours, which seems like a lot of hours on a gasoline engine. I know absolutely nothing about trawlers, since I've always owned sailboats.

According to the spec in Cape Dory Info, the 36 trawler had the option for either gas or diesel engines.
That makes it difficult to tell if it was re-powered or not.

Thanks. Somehow I missed that when I checked the CD Specs. I skipped the table and went right to the text. There it was, right in the table.

Here's an update. We have decided to pass on this boat. I'm not ready for another major boat project right now. The search continues.
