Agree it looks nice but when I called about it was advised that according to the before and after surveys that the boat has a rebuilt 6.5 HP 1 GM, which was puzzling to me because it was my understanding that CD had started putting 1GM 10s in the 25D by 1984, but no one that I've asked seems to know when the precise date/hull number this transition occurred. There are times in a 25D when the extra oomph of the 1 GM 10 would be advantageous (e.g., adverse wind + tide) like Hull Gut, Wood's Hole Gut, Cutty Hunk inlet in Mass, etc. The 1 GM 6.5 HP was fine in the 22D (which displaced 2000 lbs less than the 25D).

My 1983 25D had the 6.5 hp Yanmar. I found out after purchase when I scraped the crud off the plate.
