Genoa size recommendation CD 28

Post by Pembquist »

I got a quote on some sails from Precision. Hank on Genoas 150 and 135 and a cruising chute/asymmetrical/multipurpose. I currently have a 2 year old main and 2 year old working jib and a really old genoa which if I understand correctly that the percentage is LP over J is a 143% sail. I use the club with my jib and I like it for tacking on the river.

I would welcome opinions on which Genoa to get if I am only getting one and if you think the cruising chute makes a nice addition is better than poling out the genoa which is what I do now with my old one.

When I bought KAYLA, she came with older 150% headsail on Profurl. I have since replaced it twice, both being 135%. The latest one came from Precision and works great! A well known "secret" for best price from Precision is to order in late fall. They usually have great discounts then!
