Great first season

Post by Senorjacob »

I had a really amazing first season with my first boat (Robinhood 36). Did mostly daysails and a couple of overnights in Cape Cod Bay. Did battle with the cormorants. Buried the rail. And in general I got to know my baby. Next season she will be christened with a new name — she will be S/V Joan Wilder.

Hauled her out in early October.

Now she’s having some woodwork done and a paint job touch up. She’ll be on the hard at Sesuit for the winter. Next summer I’m determined to do some actual cruising. Maybe go up to Maine to down to Block Island. Life is good.

Fantastic pictures! Great to think of next summer on the heels of our first real winter storm here in New England.

PS per Neil Gordon, only 14 days to the 2021 sailing season! Maybe a week if you cheat to the earliest sunset
