The old style bronze chainplates would be tempting, but not for $150 a pop. Yikes!

Actually that was my reaction as well; I thought most of the stuff was/is stiffly priced ...

I have a pair of bronze Typhoon chainplates you can have for $40. Also have four original Schaefer SS tang-type chainplates (they run through the deck & fasten below), available for $50. They came from a Nauset Typhoon. Call or text if interested... 843-450-2498
