Parts and Gear for CD28 (and similar)

Post by kerrydeare »

We have sold our CD28 sloop and are in the process of selling gear that was not part of the boat sale. Haven't had time yet to inventory and list particular items (will do ASAP) but in the meantime I thought it might be useful to let folks know that, after 39 years of owning the boat and putting on many sea miles, there is a vast amount of gear that might be of interest. I'm thinking of spares, running gear, rigging items, a few electronic items, and the like. If anyone would like to make a specific inquiry, please send email. Christmas is near and I'm in the mood to be very reasonable.

Things I need for my CD 27: Bolt and nut that holds folding table up in stowed position. Teak lumber for shelving approx. 1/2" x 7" x22' or larger. Forward hatch plexiglass, Bronze upright jib sheet cleats, cheek block for jiffy reefing, Mid toe rail cleats.
I don't think you'll have these odds and ends but I thought I'd ask.
Sort of sad that you sold your boat.

thanks,

Maybe, but it depends on who's askin'. I think the buyer got a fine boat, and the seller (me) doesn't need to fit the winter cover for season 39 (lame humor). However I do have a number of rail fittings including blocks, fairleads, padeyes that fit snatch blocks, and on and on. I'm putting together a list of "stuff" for this board, some of which is quite interesting, but this takes time due to the emotions involved in ending a fine and long relationship.

Thanks.
