Question Regarding Fuel Hose Replacement

Post by David Feibush »

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has ever replaced a fuel hose (the one coming from the fill cap to the fuel tank)? On my CD 31, access is a nightmare, but I'm able to loosen the hoseclamps at the tank end and should be able to remove it from the tank. I was hoping that after removing the screws from the fill cap that I could lift the fill deck fitting/hose, but before I tugged too hard, I thought I'd check with the experts on the forum! I think I see a grounding wire inside of the deck fitting as well and I assume that needs to be unscrewed and reinstalled with the new hose.

After some research, it sounds like I need to buy a hose with a rating of A1 for the best fire resistance and permeability.

Thank you very much!

Regards,

Dave
