Just got back from chartering in BVI on one of those ugly melted plastic boats but was seduced by engine driven refrigeration as well as pressurized hot/cold water.
Has anyone tried to but either/or/both in their CD 28?
Thanks,

Re: CD 28 Upgrades
Got a frig system-but not the hot water system.
A gentleman from Long Beach Ca. (Sean Harvey of Viking Engineering-Telephone 562 628 8552) putin an Adler/Barbour 12vDC ColdMachine system wuth a vertical ice maker. This guy actually put the compressor under the stove area on top of the front half of the fuel tank in a special tray, then routed the wires, tubes through the engine compartment to the ice box.
Frankly, I still don't know how he did it-but it is the slickest job I have ever seen!
Now, for the "bad" news-in order to run the system, he also put in two sets of 6 volt batteries-but that runs the inverter, TV, Microwave, etc.
Yup-the benefits of purchasing an older boat!!
