Buongiorno
There are many threads on this board about outboard engines and Typhoons. In the search box just type in "Typhoon outboard engine" and you will get many.
Here is one from last year that has a lot of good suggestions:

Re: Typhoon outboard engine
Depending on you situation, how far you need to motor, current strength, etc. 4 hp should be the max you would need. Honda 2.3 hp have no reverse are air cooled there for somewhat noisier but very light, small water cooled 2.5 are a little heavier but should be adequate in most situation. You're going to need a long shaft for any motor
My Typhoon came with a 4hp Yamaha that looked liked it was new and started easy. I could not get it in the full "up" tilt position only in shallow mode. Haven't put it on the Ty yet. Trying to see if I can make do without it. Might sell it and get a 2.5 hp as a back up. A 2.5 hp would be easier to store down below. Practicing sailing off and on the mooring. Towing a 8-9' Puffin hard dinghy thinking if the wind died I'd be able to row and tow the Ty to the mooring. It looks a lot better than the OB hanging off the stern. Sailing on and off the mooring hasn't been too hard. Haven't tried to do it single handed yet.

Better to find humility before humility finds you.
Re: Typhoon outboard engine
One can paddle a Ty quite a ways by sitting with legs crossed around the bow. Been there, done that more than once.
My favorite outboard for a Ty is a British Seagull. Small, light weight and stows easily under the cockpit.
