This IS a wonderful board. Thanks to all who responded to my transmission problems. I just came back from the boat where I spent all morning checking out and eliminating possibilities. Seems the problem is inside the transmission box. Am now calling a qualified mechanic to pull the thing out since I am not familiar nor probably have the strength to do it myself, although I will be there to help. I have printed all of your comments and because of them I will have a much more educated transaction with the mechanic. Will keep everyone posted as to what happens here. Again, many thanks. Let's see how long it takes.
