I have tried to have a scale model of my cd 26 made by the "Scale Model Co." I contacted them in Nov, and after not hearing from them, contacted them again a month later. I was told that the model was being "painted"....I contacted them again, in Feb...and was told the model was finished, and that they lost my phone #....Now, I no longer receive responses to inquires...and no model....has anyone dealt with these people before? Has anyone had a similar experience?

Linda,
I feel your pain. I ordered a model from them in September 1998. They said it would take about three weeks. In October I called, but got only VM. I left a number of messages and eMails over the next few weeks. Then their number was changed, I sneaked around the internet and got a new number. I finally got a live person who told me the paint job wasn't up to snuff and they'd redo it and send it out in a week. Another three weeks went by. I finally threatened them with the better business bureau and all that stuff, but to no avail. Just as I had given up, the model arrived -- in January! Beautiful save for a slight flaw in the paint. I don't know why the guy runs his business the way he does, his product is good, the price is right. If you look at the 25D in his catalogue, you'll see the model he made for me. Keep persisting and good luck.

Linda;
Same problem call after call and nothing. They stopped taking credit cards so I send a check which they cashed but still no model.
