2016 City Island NY Cape Dory Rally - July 16 & 17, 2016

It's official! The 2016 Cape Dory Rally at City Island Yacht Club, City Island NY, will be held on July 16 & 17. Our small group had a great time last year, and we expect a larger group this year. Plenty of interesting yarns and useful information will be exchanged! Current plans include:

Friday, July 15th:
Sail-ins begin to arrive. Reasonably-priced guest moorings available - contact the dock on VHF Ch. 72, call (347) 899-8858 or email: waterfront@cityislandyc.org . Mooring field coordinates: N 40° 50.311″ – – W 073° 47.550″.
Informal dining together Friday evening in the City Island YC Pub or on the waterfront deck with beautiful sunset views of the New York City skyline.

Saturday, July 16th:
One or two fun, low-stress Cape Dory-only races during the day.
Lunch available in the Pub or on the deck. There are also numerous highly-regarded restaurants within walking distance on the island.
For those who want to visit the Big Apple, Manhattan is accessible by public transportation from the island.
Cape Dory Dinner Saturday evening.

Sunday, July 17th:
Breakfast TBD - either at the club (we're checking availability), on your own on the island, or on your boat.
For those who want to visit the Big Apple, Manhattan is accessible by public transportation from the island.
Inter-boat visiting.
Finally, Photos, fond goodbyes and sail-away.
