Added Bimini top to Typhoon
It might be difficult to see in this photo, but I added a sun dodger to my Ty. And they said it couldn't be done. Well, the heat has been in the high 90s and one needs a bit of shade. I tried to order a 36" top, but the one I got was the standard size, 41" ($120). I placed the supports 5.5" back from the winches, with a spread of 66" (there's about 8" of wiggle room since the bars are flexible). Then I lowered all the poles about 4" (as far as they would go). I put the boom up as high as the mainsail would take it. Then I took out the middle pole on the dodger so that the boom could easily swing and so that it can lay down neatly when not in use.
