CD 25 Cabin Backrest Solution!

Post by Paul W. »

Wanted to check with other CD25 owners about a backrest solution for the main cabin berths. Moving around down below last season in the CD25 my lower back was killing me. When we would sit to eat there was not back support. Very uncomfortable! Has anyone developed a solution? Consider the following:

A firm foam cushion that is cut out to pefectly fit under the shelf and rail. This design could contour to fit your back. It could be covered in the fabric to match the cushions. When not in use the back rest cushion could be stowed under the starboard side cabin berth (where ones legs would go when sleeping in the berth). When you need to sleep there, you could move the cushion to the Vberth.

Next Steps:

If there are several CD25 owners interested in the solution, I can work with a custom cushion manufacturer on Cape Cod to design it and manufacture a dozen or so. All that CD25 owners would need to do is select a fabric and color and the manufacturer could ship the back rest.

Anyone have a better idea?

Please let me know if this is something other CD25 owners are interested in.
