Mermaid Condensator replacement

Post by Boyd »

Hi All:

I have been having problems with the Condensator on my Mermaid airconditioner. This is a solid brass venturi valve that sucks the condensate out of the boat and injects it into the air conditioning cooling water stream.

Mermaid sells replacements for around $200. Turns out this is nothing more than a Dema 204c available thru a carwash supply website for around $50. I got one and it works fine...much better than the old one.

If you pull the Mermaid sticker off the valve you can see the above information stamped into the valve.

Hope this saves someone some $$
