Took my 8-year old son on a little Sunday adventure today--sailed from Camden to Rockland to have lunch at Home Kitchen Cafe before heading back home. Beautiful day, so warm it actually felt more like July. We had a nice 10 knot breeze out of the south on the way down, made pretty good time until we got to the Rockland breakwater, where the wind slacked and shifted to the west. But once the wind re-established itself we cruised on into the Harbor. What a huge harbor--and sailing past the lighthouse at the end of the breakwater was an experience to remember (we've walked out there countless times and watched the boats, but never saw it from the water).
Where would you rather be on a Sunday afternoon? Priceless.
