Hello all,
Sadly, I have been sailing my CD25, Velella (www.adam-waywell.squarespace.com) for nearly 4 years without any installed electrical or fixed manual bilge pump.
Twice a summer I use a crappy west marine dinghy pump to remove the few gallons of collected rain water that finds its way down to the bilge into a bucket and over the side.
My current plan is to cockpit mount a whale urchin gusher pump with a run down into the bilge.
yet, I'm not sure how to go about running the hose with access to the bilge and where to mount an overboard discharge (thru hull).
I'm still researching this project and was hoping for insight from someone who has installed a hand operated manual pump.
Please ... suggestions!
Adam
