CD 31 V-Berth & Salon Cushions Need New Home

Post by kathrynoler2022 »

We are replacing the cushions in our CD 31 (Suppose). The existing cushions are in nice, serviceable condition. The tops of the salon seat cushion covers are a little stretched and the foam is somewhat flattened. The foam in the v-berth cushions has also flattened slightly and spread. There are available for cost of shipping (from Corpus Christi TX area) or pick up until mid-April 2014. Cushions have no mold, mildew or stains. They are all upholstered in a light blue tweed fabric with vinyl bottoms.

Tempting, but we think the cushions would not be a major improvement over our original cushions.

We just bought a heavy sewing machine, and Jenn's pretty good with sewing, so we'll push ahead with the total replacement of all the cushions on our 31. I you have any advice on this project, it would be most appreciated.

It is, however, a gracious gesture on your part to offer the cushions for just the shipping cost. Someone may get a great deal of use out of them.

Happy spring outfitting (or don't they have spring outfitting in Corpus Christi?).

Watch the Sailrite video on YouTube about making v-berth cushions. You will probably want to take notes, particularly about how to measure the hull curvature for cutting the foam and the amount of seam allowance for each piece of fabric.
