Line hangers and such

I'm always amazed on the imperfect solutions to line hanging you can buy at West Marine for $29.95. Here's my alternative:

This one was made from "experienced" 3/8" line. It attaches easily to a rail or life line with a lark's head.

I need to add that to my library!

Traditional methods are, more often than not, simpler and less expensive. (Note: No question that many modern methods are simpler and occasionally less expensive than traditional ones (e.g., GPS vs. sextant), but that's only as long as the batteries hold out.)
