Sail insignia

Anybody know what the OFFICIAL sail insignia is for Cape Dorys? Mine (CD-31, 1983 hull #4) has just a plain letter "C" on the sail, along with "31".

Seems to me that there is supposed to be a stylized letter C with the interior of the C "hollowed out"to look like a D.

Any information would be appreciated.

Fred, You can kind of see what it looks like by going to the CD home page on this site, then press "about Cape Dorys", then press "specs", and finally press CD 30. (Unfortunately they don't have a picture of the sail on the CD 31 plan) The 31 insignia looks just like that CD 30 except that instead of a zero there is a one, of course. The one is lined up with the ends of the C so that at first glance it looks like an O with a 3 inside it. Then you notice that the one also makes the C into a D and the three into a 31. Very clever how it's all tied together.
