Ahoy,
The previous owner used Petit EasyPoxy but after 4 years in the Georgia sun it has started to peel.
I am looking for advise on how to prepare the deck for new paint and should I use Petit or is there another brand that is better.
I realize that surface preparation is important to a successful finish.
I hope the attached photos help with your recommendations.

In the photos it looks like the non-skid areas are the major problem--if that's true then I would highly recommend Kiwigrip. It was really easy to work with, no messing with sand or grit, and has held up well. After 2+ years there are a few chips in the cockpit that I need to touch up, but it has gotten banged a couple of times by the anchor so probably my fault. The best thing is you can get it tinted to any color at any paint/hardware store.
