Typhoon at Eight Bells

Typhoon at Eight Bells

Down the road from NC Wyeth's home "Eight Bell" in Port Clyde, Maine is this Cape Dory Typhoon waiting for a new season on the water. I painted this in June 2013. Anybody know who owns this Ty?

Nice work. Watercolor? Forget the Typhoon! Let's see more paintings!

Thanks for your comments. Yep its a watercolor painted with Port Clyde Harbor water scooped right from the dock in the painting (possibly the reason for the great atmosphere of the picture). The painting is 13.5" X 18.5". Its double matted and framed (24 X 29).

Just uploaded it to my web-site over the weekend. www.joemilliganartist.com

No sailing in Cape May this weekend, we had driving rain in 25kn sustained with gusts to 35kn. The sailing would have been exciting but I wouldn't have been able to row the dinghy to the mooring. Started painting a ketch "aground" which I had seen after SS Sandy last year.

Hope you're enjoying the fall sailing season in Maine.
