My recently rennovated 1976 Typhoon is for sale. I bought another CD (a CD31) and now, although it breaks my heart, it's time to sell the typhoon.
She has been well maintained and last year I did a complete rennovation:
- Removed and stripped all teak, 4-5 coats of Cetol, rebedded
- All hardware has been rebedded
- Decks/cabin top were completely sanded down to original paint, a few soft spots repaired and repainted keeping true to original non-skid patterns. Primer coat plus interlux brightside.
- Portlights replaced, added running lights
- Hull was repainted along with water line and new bottom paint (1 season).
- Upgraded knot meter and depth meter working fine.
- Electrical upgraded as well (battery included)
She comes with a trailer in very good condition, a 5 hp 4 stroke Honda (2006) in very good condition. Main sail and jib are in good condition but could use a visit to sail shop for cleaning and minor repairs. Spinnaker seems new (I used it once). Custom cushions are in decent condition.
Dinghy/oars included in price. Buyer is also welcome to take the "shelter" shown in one of the pics
Standing rigging/mast in fine shape
She has been stored under a good quality tarp for the last year. In sailing her for two seasons she has been a very dry boat and sails very well. She is totally ready to sail. I also have a 300 lb mooring anchor/chain that is currently stored on land at Petersen's boatyard in Nyack, NY. Buyer is welcome to that as well (a bit difficult to move).
I am asking $7,500 but will consider all reasonable offers.
Located in Rockland County, NY. Cell phone: 914.906.1549. Here are some pictures:
