Cape Dory 25 FOR SALE

My cape dory 25, Surprise, was swept off the jacks during hurricane Sandy and sustained minimal damage. Some scuffing of the hull and I lost about 6 feet of rub rail. Nichol's Great Kills Park Marina (Staten Island, NY) wants about $3,000 for their salvage work. (They basically put the boat back on the jack stands.) I am unable to pay, but do not want to "stiff" the yard as this will not be my last boat. The boat is sailable as is. There is no outboard, or roller furling, but it has: 2 danforths, and a 20lb folding grapnel, fenders, dock lines, 2 genoas, a hank on jib, a main, a custom made winter cover, a gas BB-Q, and a custom boom awning that makes hanging on the anchor a real treat.

This is a great boat project for someone who is handy. Anything I get for the boat is going to the yard. Before I take any money I'll make sure the yard will release the boat.
