Wet Locker

Post by moctrams »

Just finished my latest project to add cedar stripsa to my wet locker. Cape Dory had a "leatherette" material and it looked bad as well as peeling off. Just wonering to varnish the wood, or to leave natural.

Good looking project. I think it should be left natural.

I agree, nice work. The only reason to put finish on would be to avoid staining/marring. Cedar is pretty soft.

To prevent mold and other stuff growing in the wet locker, I installed a 12 inch vent unit in the door of the locker. It really helped in keeping the mildew down as well as keeping our wet gear dry. I also installed the same on the chain locker door. And that really helped also
