Model No. 356453 (see link below) and some careful drill & fit.

Hi Pete,

When I swapped out the gate valves for new ball valves on my 1978 CD25 years ago, I found the plastic tailpiece screwed onto the gate valves were smaller in diameter (1-1/2"?) than the bronze scuppers (1-5/8"?) glassed into the cockpit. The hose used was sized properly for the scupper, but a bit too large for the old plastic tailpiece. The 1-5/8" hoses were just clamped on over the unusually large bump in the old 1-1/2" plastic tailpiece. The new 1-5/8" hose I used fit the old glassed in scuppers, but was also a bit too large for the new 1-1/2" bronze tailpieces on my new valves. I ended up using a spacer and some sealant on the new bronze tailpieces to get the hose to fit right.

I've seen diesel mechanic use large diameter heat shrink tubing (adhesive backed) to step up 1-1/5" mufflers to accept 1-5/8" exhaust hose coming off a 1-5/8" exhaust manifold. Maybe you could do something like that on your tailpieces if you find they don't match.

Have you found a mast for Grace yet?

Best,
John

Is there a special tool in order to remove the bronze scupper
so I can replace the hose?
