Mystic Rose, cd30k, FOR SALE

Post by darmoose »

Very pretty 30ft ketch, a head turner everywhere she goes. Boat was repowered in 2006 with a Volvo D1-20 and included all the extras such as prop, SS shaft, tranny, raco filter, all new hoses and exhaust, also new instrument panel and controls (total expense was $20,000). I have owned this boat for the past twelve yrs and have sailed her all over South Florida and the Keys, recently sailed her from Florida to the Chesapeake Bay, and have sailed her on the bay for the past two summers.

Mystic Rose is fully equipped for local as well as long range sailing. Her sails are in great shape, the repowered Volvo has about 500hrs on it. She has a Jabsco head, VHF w/remote mic, Garmin 545, wind/depth/speed instruments, 35lb CQR anchor with 200ft of chain. She was awlgripped off white top and bottom ten yrs ago and while she has a few nicks and scratches lovingly placed there by me the paint job has held up very well and her overall appearance is very good.

Due to some minor health problems (getting old) I find that I cannot continue to maintain and use her going forward as I have these past twelve yrs. I am willing to let her go to a good new home for what I consider to be well below her true value for $25,000.00

P.S. I should also mention she is equipped with a "freewheeling" propeller for less drag and added speed.

Mystic Rose is one of the best-kept, most beautiful boats I

have ever seen. She was kept in a slip opposite the CD 26 I bought a few months ago, and I couldn't help but gaze longingly at her every time I walked past. Whoever buys her is getting a tremendous boat for the price.

Well, thank you Bibster, for those kind unsolicited comments. I remember meeting you when you purchased Denke from my friend Dean last year. I hope you are doing well and enjoying her.

You make Mystic Rose sound so good, perhaps I should raise the price, you think? :?

Thanks again

Surprised that no one has jumped on this great boat and deal. I really do want to see her find a new owner before this summer is over. And I am not getting any younger.

I am reducing the price to $20,000.00.

I was in the process of buying a Westsail 32 but i was just informed that she suffered damage from a storm this week. I currently own a CD25 which I love, but it is too small for a family of four. Most importantly my wife is really on board with getting a new boat (gotta strike with the fires hot) and your price might seal the deal.

Please send current photos at hagandds@gmail.com and give me a call at 718-213-3665.

Thanks,

Adam
Kind Regards,
