============================================
Real fine 1977 Cape Dory 27 homeported in Stonington, CT looking for suitable friendly dinghy for long term relationship, to accompany on cruises, weekends, gunkholing, or just tendering, etc. Must be adventurous, companionable, about 8' or 9', track well in a following sea, enjoy stepping out or relaxing on a quiet moonlit night.... Construction preferably fiberglass or glass covered ply....
Needn't have outboard. Rowing dink perfect, don't need sailing rig; age and condition should be reasonable, but she has to be esthetically acceptable; after all, this is for a Cape Dory! So "good for pretty" would be nice as well as "good for strong"

So if you have or know anyone who might have an orphanable dinghy, please e-mail!

Well "Alphee" has found a suitable, attractive, companionable 8' tall and athletic dinghy mate not too far away, (in Milford, CT) a fine, sturdy, happy-to-oblige-any-reasonable-circumstance sort of dink, not one to take the lead, yet with enough character and seagoing ways to track well, mind her painter, and complement our Sailing Vessel with her cute turn of bilge, graceful sheer, and fetching transom!
Not to mention that she was well cared for whilst in the stewardship of a fine fellow Cape Dory owner, one with a keen eye for really pretty and well finished sailing vessels and associated appurtenances (a gorgeous CD30 Mark II).
So "Alphee"'s social needs have been met right here on this fine Board, and we've met some great new CD folks not too many miles away!
Best,
