Where do I find the hull #?

Its typically part of the VIN imprinted in the fiberglass the outside of the stern. On my MS 300 it is on the right side CPDEE006 indicating it is hull #6. There are a few more letters after the 6 that I believe identify the month and year of manufacture.

I think the code is something like this for Cape Dorys:
CPD = Cape Dory is the manufacturer
EE = The model?
006 = Hull number
