275 ft of 5/8" diameter 8 plait line. This is premium line made by Bucaneer Rope in the U.S. to military specs. 8 Plait line does not get stiff like 3 strand and collapses on itself in the anchor locker. Therefore you can store more of this than 3 strand. It also grabs well in the gypsy. I'm selling it because it is too big for my windlass. The windlass said it would take 5/8 rope, but they didn't say anything about the rope to chain splice. It handles the rope fine but when it gets to the splice, which is a little bit larger, it has trouble. I've tried 3 different splices. It is marked with a fluorescent orange paint stripe every 50 ft. One stripe for 50ft, 2 for 100ft etc. You can see this in the dark.
This line has been anchored with twice and has a slight brown mud stain on the part that was down. This happens with any line the first time you use.
I'm selling it for $210, which is what it will cost me to replace it with 1/2" line. This represents a 23% discount over Defender's list price. Shipping weight is about 27 lbs. I can send a picture to serious buyers only.
