replacement parts for CD Typhoon Weekender

Post by BahTom »

I am replacing the jib tracks and leads on my weekender, and wouild like to know where I could get ss tracks exactly like the original ones. Also would like to replace the old cleats with either ss or chrome plated bronze. Anyone know where this can be done?

Typhoon Parts

I have a Daysailor, so my experience may differ. The genoa tracks located on the toe rails are aluminum, 3/4 inch wide and not easy to find. I replaced mine two years ago with longer tracks that I purchased from Rig Rite. They were very close to the originals. At least at that time they also had the Schaeffer blocks and cars which are not easy to find.

My Genoa tracks are SS. My jib track was plastic. I replaced the jib track with 1" aluminum and used a standard car and block.
