CD36 Curved Main sheet Traveler complete

Post by John Danicic »

Make me an offer.

I replaced my original equipment 1984 CD 36 main sheet traveler with a Garhauer so that I could led the control lines aft to the cockpit.

This traveler comes complete with car, two stops, the track and both risers. It is in good shape with out any corrosion. Both it and the boat have always been on fresh water.

I will post a photo when I get it home. Like I said, make an offer.

I would think the bar would have to be shortened.
Replacing mine with a Garhauer was one of the best improvements I have made......well worth the expense.

Not sure

Not sure. I have never seen a CD 28.

I could get you the measurements in a few weeks when I get up to the boat.

I do know the length of the track's arc is 54 inches.

I am sure it can be shortened with out too much trouble. I believe the bar itself is only aluminum and maybe the track itself so cutting could be done with a hacksaw. The towers or lifts should be able to accept the bar after cutting, though I am not sure that they would be at the same angle of your boat's deck. A problem to figure out.

I will get measurements for you mid May. As for cost? Make me an offer I can't refuse.

If I can scratch together the funds to buy the parts and duplicate John Danicic's new mainsail traveller on my CD36, there will be another original setup here for sale :-)
