Does anyone have information on installation of engine(12 volt)alarm (to take care of engine overheating)? This is for a 28 ft. Intrepid. Thanks.

I added a "Sonalert" device to my CD30 engine panel. I connected a diode from the +12v terminal on both of the 'idiot lights' (anode end of diode), commoned up the cathode leads together and ran that to the + input of a Sonalert device (there are many varieties of this device..some pulse, some warble and some are just tones). This way if any sensor detects low oil pressure or an alternator output problem, the signal will light the appropriate light as well as sound the alarm.

Cheers!
