We purchased "Caliente" in the fall of 2009. She received major upgrades in 2004 and we continued to add upgrades through out the 2010 season. We feel that she is a "one of a kind" Cape Dory. We are selling her only because we realize that we won't have much time to sail her in the next few years.
Since 2004, over 80K has been invested in "Caliente" by her last three owners. Our asking price is 38K ( We purchased her for 33K and our investment since ownership is approx. 12K) We realize that if you're looking for a used CD27 in typical condition in the 16-20K range, this probably isn't the boat for you. But as mentioned above we feel she's a beauty and is "the boat" for someone who wants a boat "in like new" that's a real pleasure to row away from.
